Expert Council Members and Date of the Diamond Butterfly Film Award Announced

The first ceremony of the Open Eurasian Film Award Diamond Butterfly will take place on November 27 in Moscow. The award was established by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Cultural Foundation. Nikita Mikhalkov is the ideological inspirer.

The Diamond Butterfly will become an annual international event uniting national film industries. The Expert Council includes leading Russian filmmakers: Alexander Akopov, Sergei Bezrukov, Alexei Guskov, Andrei Kravchuk, Sergei Ursulyak, Vladimir Khotinenko and others.

Categories: Best Film ($1M), Best Director ($250K), and 10 other nominations. Films from more than 15 countries submitted.
