Synopsis

Based on real events, the film is set in the 1970s. A young woman, Zang Jianhe, was forced to leave her home town of Qingdao with her two daughters. To make ends meet and raise her children, she washed dishes by day and cars by night. With no support, she bore this crushing load alone. Trying to change her life for the better, Zang Jianhe decided to make a living selling dumplings. With incredible persistence she pursued her goal and built a successful business.
