Synopsis

Far, far away, beyond mountains and seas, in a modest Kyrgyz village lives Zhyldyzbek, an astronomy teacher. He is passionately in love with the stars and dreams of building his own rocket. His ship Aiday, named after his beloved, is meant to carry him to Mars. But Zhyldyzbek's quest is more than a dreamer's ambition: he is going to Mars to prevent a giant comet from striking Earth — and to prove that heroes can be born in the most unexpected corners of the planet.
