From October 19 to November 13, 2026, the international filmmaking session “Creativity That Unites” will take place as part of the Open Eurasian Film Award “Diamond Butterfly”.

The project is organised by the Russian Culture Fund with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and hosted by the N.S. Mikhalkov Academy of Cinematographic and Theatre Arts.

Participants will be selected by invitation of the Russian Culture Fund from among young filmmakers representing countries that are members of the Eurasian Academy of Cinematographic Arts, as well as countries that have not yet joined the Academy but share Eurasian values.

An expert council will select ten participants. The programme will include six masterclasses, the development of original three-minute projects under the guidance of acclaimed Russian filmmakers, and a public screening of the completed works.

“The international filmmaking session, which will be held as part of our ‘Diamond Butterfly’ for the second time, gives a new generation of filmmakers the opportunity to make their voices heard, work with acclaimed masters and contribute to the development of the Eurasian cultural space. We are looking for sincere, deeply human stories that can unite people across borders and languages,” said Elena Golovnina, Director General of the Russian Culture Fund.

Applications will be accepted until September 5, 2026.
The list of participants will be announced on September 15.
