Eurasian Open Film Award «Diamond Butterfly»
This is a new award that will be an important step towards strengthening cultural ties and friendship between people, as well as opening up new opportunities for the development of the film industry and mutual understanding.
The Academy offers a new, supranational standalone infrastructure for mutual support, cooperation and promotion of filmmakers upholding traditional moral values. In the context of shaping a multi-polar world, the Academy, upholding the principles of independent states' sovereignty and equality, forms a single and free space for cultural exchange based on respect of national interests.
Unlike many existing awards, Diamond Butterfly pursues discovery and support of world's cinema diversity underscoring unique cultural features of peoples of various countries and their commitment to traditions. The Award will symbolize the stand for the preservation of moral ideals and improving world through art.

The aim of the award
The aim of the Award is to demonstrate the richness and diversity of world cinema and offer a platform for exchange of practices, facilitating the creation of profound and meaningful films embodying best human values.
The idea of creating a film award has already received support from a number of countries, including Iran, China, and the CSTO states of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
